Henry has been creating portraits and fine art for more than twenty years. Along with portaiture he enjoys painting landscapes, murals and scenes that involve architecture.
He was raised in the small village of Perry, located in northeastern Ohio. Henry with his wife and children relocated to the state of Connecticut in 1986,
and returned to their native Ohio in 1997.
While living in Connecticut, he developed a fondness for painting the human form and capturing an exact likeness of individuals. Most of all the personality that makes each and every one of us unique as human beings. With this knowledge and drive for creativity, Wienhold established himself as a portrait artist. Mastering his skill with oils, this became his primary medium. New England provided Henry with numerous portrait commissions. The P.S. Gallery located in Litchfield Ct, sold limited edition prints of his work and displayed his landscape paintings. He became a member of the "Kent Art Association," where his paintings were accepted in many juried shows throughout the years.
Henry has participated in numerous exhibits and galleries during his career,
and is currently being represented by the "Vancura Gallery," located in Middlefield Ohio. He is available for commissioned portraits rendered in oil, pastel, acrylic and pencil. Along with rendering the human form he now includes portraits of pets, house portraits, and murals.
He creates his portraits and fine art from photographs that he takes himself, or you may provide a photo, considering that your photograph is of good quality and he is able to work from the image.
Henry has many portraits and paintings of fine art in private collections throughout the U.S.A. and Canada. He currently works and resides with his wife and family in Northeastern Ohio.
